DJ 808 was born in Decatur,AL. He graduated from A.P.Brewer High Schoolin 1989. DJ 808 started djing at the age of 18.He was inspired by DJ's like Jam Master J, DJ Jazzy Jeff and DJ Kid Capri. He was doing mixtapes for friends and local parties but then entered the club scene. He has done parties and clubs all over the Tenn Valley. In 1996 he met a dj by the name of DJ Illie Ill and later joined the group the Hitsquad. In 2004 he started working at 103.1 WEUPon the weekends(Sat 6pm-10pm and Sun 4pm-7pm) and also the 5 oclock traffic jam. In April of 2011 he became the night jock(Mon-Sat 6pm-10pm). During his show he showcases the local talent with WEUP's Homegrown at 6:30. At 7 its the Smackdown, 8 its weup's Top 5 at 8 and at 9 its WEUP's 9 oclock Block Party with the Hitsquad.
