WHATSGOODMOE.COM
This is an up and coming blog about the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia Area about urban issues and hip hop music.
Read Below for an example article from whatsgoodmoe.com
From as long as I could remember, the DMV area has been filled with people from all walks of life. We have the elite, upper middle, middle, lower income classes spread out in so many neighborhoods around the 495 beltway. In other word, this area is filled with the haves and the have- nots. I am going to shed some light on how to move up to where you want to be.
I am no expert in demographics or economics, I am just spewing my opinions so do not take offense.
The first class I want to break down is the entitlement class or in other words, government assisted class. There are people who are not in a position to accept the pursuit of happiness and chase the American dream in the near future. If you have kids, or a disability, or worried about falling into homelessness and poverty, becoming an entrepreneur is not a reasonable goal for now. Going to college is often not the route that is taken because of the time commitment and there is is not an immediate payoff. Those that do see the importance of making themselves more marketable usually move up to the other classes.
Once a person has learned a skill, or is more educated in a niche, they will become more marketable. Job security is increased and reliance on government assistance is an option of last resort. Having a career instead of just a job in the field your talents match will help a person set future goals more easily because life is more stable.
